He called my name

He called my name,
I walked away.
He called again,

to no avail.

In pursuit of life,

I lost my soul.

In pursuit of might,
yet lacking control.
He watched me smirk,
and laugh all day.

He watched my light,
turn into a bleak new day.
The blood was spilled,

and wasted away.
The sacrifice neglected,
the ransom too great to pay.
Glory lost,
power gone,
changing hands,
darkness begun.
In the distance,
the whispers continue,
focus lost,
destiny now dust.

He calls your name too, stop for a min and listen...do you hear it? Your precious worth could be your greatest loss.

4:13am, unedited random thoughts I jotted down as led by the Spirit, as I attempt to grasp the fullness of my Savior's love and our lack of obedience as we try to take it and rough it on our own.

God's reward comes full circle!

Beauty in holiness...What an amazing God we serve!

6 days ago, I wrote an article about "losing" my earrings on the plane here
http://wisdom4dasoul.blogspot.com/2008/02/visitation-from-god.html

well today, I "found" them in the most unusual way, in a manner that only God can fully explain!!
I had just finished reading a short article on the power of the name of Jesus, and I thought maybe I can spend some time in meditation just saying the name of Jesus till I felt joy spring up in my soul (hoping that it'd happen before I ran out of breath :), well thank God I only had to say the precious name of Jesus a few times before I felt that powerful, immense joy. I jumped up excited, and realized that I was going to be late for my church's evening service I wanted to attend. I got my outfit ready and remembered my lost earrings and immediately felt an urge that just maybe they werent lost after all. The way it was placed on my heart, I knew it wasnt my doing, that God was trying to tell me something, so I smiled and proceeded to search for it.

Ok anyone that knows the contents of a woman's bag knows that its always an adventure: I pulled out everything: eye glasses case, makeup bag, notepad, Ipod...nothing. At that point, something told me "keep searching, its in there, put your fingers right in", immediately I did that, and my fingers caught hold of something, pulled it up...my "lost" earring!

I got excited, because there's no way it should have been there, my bag was under the seat infront of me on the plane. I had taken the earrings off, and placed on my lap, and it was only after we landed that I remembered and couldnt find it. Then I stopped, and realized what just happened, God was smiling at me!!

He wanted me to give that which was precious to me for a higher cause. In order for me to have been able to help that elderly woman, I had to have been able to give that up, for God to have been able to use me in the manner in which He did. All the while while I was on the plane searching to no avail, it allowed me to be at the right place, at the right time. It allowed me to be right ahead of the woman when she got out of the restroom. I then wondered just how different everything could have gone if I got mad or irritated about my lost earring. I would have walked out disappointed and angry, my heart out of touch with God, I wouldnt have been attentive, and

God wouldnt have been able to use me!

He wouldnt have been able to use me!

WOW!

Luke 21:18
Not a hair of your head will perish (NLT)
God really does look out for His own, He cares about every need of ours, both big and small., even down to losing a strand of hair.

2 Corinthians 4:17 summarizes it best
For our present troubles are small and won’t last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever! So we don’t look at the troubles we can see now; rather, we fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen. For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever.

My fellow sisters and brothers in Christ is there something you have lost lately, is there any problem you are going through? I am here to tell you God is real, and He is still talking to His own, and looking out for us all. Sometimes we might have to give up something that is of importance to us, something that holds significant value to us, but rest assured that there lies a greater reason that will unveil itself in due time. Remember God Almighty is the Good Creator, and nothing is impossible for Him.

I am thankful!
Thankful that I've found my earring!
Thankful for that elderly woman!
Thankful for the name of Jesus!
Thankful that I didnt miss out on being used by God!
Thankful that God's glory emanates from me, my heart, my life!

A visitation from God

Today while I was returning from a weekend trip out of town, something amazing happened. God is truly awesome, the way He connects events in our lives together, nothing ever happens by chance. I decided to take my earrings off in the plane, and placed them on my lap. Once we landed, I remembered and was slightly disappointed when I realized 1 was missing. I looked all over the floor, and even decided to stay longer on board to search, the earrings though nice werent expensive so after a few mins of searching, I gave up and left the plane, the last person to do so. As I walked out into the airport, I heard a lady say "hey hey hey", and I turn around, and see an elderly woman, as she proceeds to ask me how to get to luggage claim in this huge airport, I couldnt help but notice the Yoruba accent, and realize she was Nigerian. I tried to explain, but then told her to follow me as I was headed there, it was quite far and we had to take the train to get to the other end. She was speaking bits of pidgin English and Yoruba (most of which I didnt understand) and it would have been hard for anyone else to have understood her. I introduced myself as Nigerian, said my name and greeted her with "Ekaro ma", which made her feel at ease, and we chatted as we proceeded through the maze to luggage claim. It turns out that she has lived in the US with her children for a while, and was coming to visit a daughter who lived here. Once we got finally got to luggage claim, I helped her identify her luggage, and carry it, which was quite heavy, and then helped her take it outside where we found her daughter waiting. They both gave me hugs and said "God Bless you", and I smiled and said thanks, and went back inside to find a shuttle to my car. Their gratitude was nice to hear but knowing my reward lies in heaven gives me even greater satisfaction.

God works in mysterious ways, He had a reason for me losing my earring, it was a seed I had to sow to reap the reward which He provided for me in helping the elderly woman. He made me spend time searching for it, so that I could be delayed, and be at the right place at the right time, that gave the woman an opportunity to disembark early, go use the restroom and still meet me, for the woman to identify me as someone who might be able to help, and for me to not brush her off by giving directions that would have only confused her even more. While I was on the plane, I was reading one of my Kenneth Hagin books, and listening to some of my gospel songs, and God's presence felt overwhelming so much so that several times I almost broke down in tears. All of these events happened for a reason, He was the master mind behind it all, one of the songs I was listening to, "Speak to My Heart" by Donnie McClurkin was really moving me, and I kept whispering prayers within for God to just open my heart to hear from Him, and He did. Every day I ask God for supernatural encounters to enable me to bring glory to His name, to give Him a chance to make Him proud and to smile at me. Remember in Genesis 19 when the 2 men/angel came to visit Lot and were sent by God to rescue Him, He could have turned them away, and faced the damnation that faced the rest of Sodom.

Remember when God visited Isaiah in Isaiah 6:8 and asked
"Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?"
and Isaiah responded "Here am I! Send me."

Everyday God is looking for whom to send to do His will in the lives of His children, sometimes we get so concerned about God blessing us directly, that we miss out on the opportunity for Him to use us to bless others! God has anointed us with His seal and through us His fragrance is spread everywhere! (2 Cor 2:14)

I am so thankful
Thankful that I lost my earring
Thankful that God deemed me worthy to share His love
Thankful that my heart was open to Hear His voice
Thankful that His Spirit humbles me
Thankful for His everlasting love!
