The King's bride

Hilarious image I know, but seemingly appropriate :-)

The lady

From the start,
A new beginning,
A new being,

A new woman.

In the mirror ,

the glistening gown,

the glowing face,

exhilarating joy.

Even the rain acknowledged,

as it proceeded down her eyes.

Today was her day,

it was the appointed time,

the purification was over,

her renaissance had begun,

her groom was waiting.

The bride is preparing for her bridegroom, making sure her presence is perfect in every way, that her dress fits right, and her appearance seemingly flawless. She is a lady in waiting awaiting her chosen one. She sees herself through the eyes of the groom, she isnt perfect but His love perfects her, His overflowing abounding love fills every cell of her flesh, and her spirit shivers in excitement even just at the mention of His name.

She loves Him because He first loved her, and because He knows He is accountable to someone greater than Himself. She is ready to submit to Him all the days of her life because she knows that in Him, she will have complete rest, away from the hectic life that she finds herself in, filling her with peace that surpasses her human understanding. She is ready to sign away her name, and take up His, to leave all she knows and be joined together with Him as one flesh because she knows not fear, His perfect love has removed that, and she knows that He will always fight for Her, she will never have to do anything, but just love Him unconditionally.

She knows that He is willing to die for her, to lay down His life because He esteems her greater than Himself, enough to be marred and scarred on her behalf. He has proven Himself to her time and time again, each time she fell into the valley, while the daily sighting of the moon remained her only touch with the outside world, He would always find her, rescue her and offer her comfort, her only source of sanity in this cruel cruel world.

In Him, she discovered the meaning of complete restoration, of complete surrender, the true and real meaning of love. He taught her how to pray, and many nights when she knew not how,or even too tired to, He became her strength, kneeling beside her, with the cry that breaks open the doors of heaven, pleading for grace and mercy...Abba Father.

She must have been specially created for Him, without doubt his lost rib, purposed to fit in right and so well. She remembers how those strong yet tender hands wiped her tears away, and declared her to be fearfully and wonderfully made, a reflection of something more divine than she can ever understand. She still hears those whispers, those sweet declarations of love, when He knocked on her door and she answered, the proposal and her acceptance. She craves the good and hopeful future He has planned out for them, the prosperous times ahead, their new life together. It is truly a long time coming, but today is her appointed time, and it is her time to receive favor, to make her solemn vows to her King of Kings and Lord of Lords, her precious love Jesus.

The bride was a lady in waiting,
The bride is me,
The bride could be you...

"But at midnight there was a cry, 'Here is the bridegroom! Come out to meet him." (Matthew 25:6)

"Can anything ever separate us from Christ's love? Does it mean he no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted, or hungry, or destitute, or in danger, or threatened with death? (As the Scriptures say, "For your sake we are killed every day; we are being slaughtered like sheep."No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us.
And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God's love.
Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God's love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord." (Romans 8: 3-38)

"I heard what seemed to be the voice of a great multitude, like the roar of many waters and like the sound of mighty peals of thunder, crying out, 'Hallelujah! For the Lord our God the Almighty reigns. Let us rejoice and exult and give him the glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and his Bride has made herself ready; it was granted her to clothe herself with fine linen, bright and pure'—for the fine linen is the righteous deeds of the saints. And the angel said to me, 'Write this: Blessed are those who are invited to the marriage supper of the Lamb'" (Revelation 19:6-9).

The Picture frame

An enchanting masterpiece,
his signature design.

His own very creation,

the reason for his justification.

The artist marveled,

paintbrush flickering away.

Behold the formation,

the vision of the appointed day,

the start of liberation,

his longing for salvation.

He captured the images,

luminous in distinction,

soft kisses from the sun,

bright sparkle of the stars.

uttering radiance.

He stood proud,

eager for worldly acclaim,

eager for all to proclaim his name.

The appointed morning arrived,

when he put his queen on display,

it was the awaited"D-day",
the day for her crowning glory.
One by one
,
they passed her by,
one by one,

with loud whispers and sighs.

The hours ticking into the night,

an old lady not bearing the sight,

shouted "Whats a queen without her crown?"

her face plastered with a frown.

An astounding revelation.

The artisan in haste to make a name,
had neglected to seal his beauty with a frame.

Another random thought that came to mind while in search of self expression. You see that work of art was a beauty to be beheld all along. The owner had spent time preparing, and working on it, to him it was priceless. Yet something critical was missing, something needed to make it complete, that last touch of finesse.

Thats the problem that many of us make, God has blessed us with so much in all wisdom, skill and understanding, to do that which He has placed us on earth for, but we are too eager to proclaim our name, so we do it all in a haste. Forgetting to consult with the great Creator Himself, we forget to ask Him for the right frame, the special frame, the divine frame needed to enhance our life, and convey its true worth to the world around us. Then we get disappointed when things dont work out right, when people dont understand our ideas, when things dont happen the way we want them to.

What good is a masterpiece without a distinct picture frame?

What good is a queen without her crowning glory?

Joseph was a man who never forgot his frame, even as a slave, Potiphar made him "overseer over his house". (Gen 39: 2-6)

Daniel never forgot his frame, and sought the God who revealed mysteries when he had to interprete King Nebuchadnezzar's dream. This led to his promotion even though he started as a slave in a foreign land (Daniel 2, 4)

Ask God to give you your own special picture frame, so that others may see your priceless worth, and esteem you in the same manner Jesus did. Dont ever dishonor your queen and let her out without her ornament of grace, and crown of glory!! (Proverbs 4)
Ask for your frame, and your true beauty in Holiness will be revealed in all Heavenly glory.

The good life!

Lately I've been thinking about the so called pleasures that exist in this world. The things that cause folks to lose their souls, the so-called good life. I think this video by Destiny Praise titled , "His Will" says it all. Sometimes after getting a taste, we still are hungry and realize it was all a false pretense, and the gratification isnt worth the hype. I've been there and I'm sure you have as well, and no matter how much of the "good life" that you have, that void within your being will still long for something greater, better...
